With all the fun of the fair, the carnival weekend is one of the most popular events bringing crowds from far and wide.
Once again we'll have the Pat Collins funfair, live entertainment and of course the highlight of the weekend the carnival parade.
This page is your simple guide to find out what's happening and how to get involved.
Become a member of the Royal Family
Could you be the next person to join our Carnival royal family?
Join us at the towns Mayday Event on Monday 6th May. We'll be accepting nominations on the day and making the big draw live on stage at 3.30pm.
To enter you need to:
- Live or go to school in Shifnal
- Be aged over 6 years on 29th June 2024
- Be available to attend the carnival parade on 29th June
- If you're under 18 you'll need to bring a parent or guardian with you to sign your entry form
What's planned
Watch as the town comes alive!
As always road closures will be in place from Thursday 27th June to Sunday 30th June.
We'll have:
- The Pat Collins Funfair taking over Broadway
- A 1.8 mile float parade through the town
- Live music and entertainers
- Events happening at venues all over town

Come along and get involved, you could even win a load of cash and a big shiny trophy. We've simplified our catagories for 2024 as well as increasing our cash prizes.

Fundraising
Did you know the carnival is organised by a group of local volunteers and it's largely funded by public donations.
There are lots of ways you can support both financially and with your time.
Fundraising raffle
Keep an eye out for our volunteers selling raffle tickets at events in the lead up to this years carnival day. We have some excellent prizes including:
- £200 cash
- A murder mystery dinner courtesy of Haughton Hall Hotel
- A meal for two courtesy of The Plough Inn, Shifnal
- Afternoon Tea for two at the Park House Hotel
- plus many more prizes
